Lagos is one of Africa's fastest growing cities, generating 10% of Nigeria's total GDP.However, an average commuter in Lagos spends 3 hours in road traffic every day. That equates to over 1 month each year sat in their car journeying to and from work. The congestion impacts the lives of the 15 million people that live in Lagos both mentally and physically, as well as having serious consequences on the environment.Lagos is a city built around a lagoon, connecting the residential and commercial centers, and the internal areas of the port. Yet travel on the waterways is rarely utilized despite the convenience it presents.We want to leverage the waterways and technology to provide an alternative to travelling via congested roads, and improve the lives of the citizens of Lagos for generations to come. We have currently completed our first step, launching 1 route with a morning and evening trip across the lagoon.
