Shoprite first entered Nigeria in December 2005, when we opened a store in the shopping centre, The Palms in Victoria Island, Lagos. Shoprite has since opened a store in Adeniran Ogunsanya street, Surulere, Lagos and another store in Enugu.


Community upliftment remains a priority to Shoprite and through our "change a life "campaign, Shoprite has been able to enrich the lives of many underprivileged children and youth within Nigeria. Since the inception of the "change a life" campaign in December 2010, Shoprite Nigeria has been able to assist various orphanages and foundations such as the Red Cross in Nigeria and the SOS Children's Village.
