演劇倶楽部『座』

演劇倶楽部『座』は、「日本の俳優たちよ、日本を学ぼう！」を合言葉に、壤晴彦主宰により、1992年に創立された全く新しいタイプの劇団です。2014年にNPO法人格取得。

付属研究所では、真のプロフェッショナルを目指す為の俳優育成カリキュラムの他に、特に自国の伝統を体現できる為の養成期間として、 日本語を正しく語ること（歌舞伎・落語・浄瑠璃）と、日本伝統の身体表現（日本舞踊・狂言）などに力をいれ、 1998年より『詠み芝居』という独自のスタイルの公演活動を続けています。

また、俳優志望の方に限らず、どなたでも気軽に参加できる生きた日本語を語るオープン講座もあります。
俳優・演出家にして驚異のトレーナー・壤晴彦が独自のメソッドで分かりやすく丁寧に指導します。

＜壤　晴彦／じょう　はるひこ　プロフィール＞

狂言大蔵流、茂山千五郎師（現千作・人間国宝）に師事。その後「劇団四季」正劇団員を経てフリー。

蜷川幸雄演出・三島由紀夫作・近代能楽集「卒塔婆小町」(90年イギリス・エディンバラ国際演劇祭批評家賞受賞)、蜷川幸雄演出・シェイクスピア作「テンペスト」 (88年エディンバラ国際演劇祭、92年ロンドン・バービカンセンター)等に主演。94年のイギリス・ロイヤル・シェイクスピア・カンパニー（RSC）プロデュースの「ペール・ギュント」に日本人唯一のキャストとして参加。
04年カルチュラル・オリンピアード参加作品蜷川幸雄演出「オイディプス王」

ストレート・プレイの他「ザ・ロッキーホラーショウ」などミュージカル出演も多い。又、声優としても「ライオンキング」（スカー）、「バグズライフ」（ホッパー）、「アナスタシア」（ラスプーチン）、「24」、「パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン」（バルボッサ）、「ゼア・ウィルビー・ブラッド」（ダニエル・プレインビュー）、「クレイジー・ハート」（オーティス・“バッド”・ブレイク）、「英国王のスピーチ」（ライオネル）など活躍中。

NHK大河ドラマ・NHK朝ドラ演技コーチ、文化学院講師、NPO日本朗読文化協会顧問。

“Theater Club Za” was established in 1992 by Haruhiko Joh under the idea that Japanese actors should have knowledge of their own country. The two-year training program aims to raise professionals through basic acting curriculums and Japanese cultural studies. The program consists of two parts: vocal training of proper Japanese taken from kabuki, rakugo, jyouryuri, and physical training taken from Japanese expression of Nihon Buyou, Kyogen. Since 1998, there have been productions of yomishibai, an original style of theater performance.

Yomishibai is an original style of performance presented by “Theater Club Za.” Yomi means “reading” and shibai is “theater.” A classic Japanese novel is three-dimensionally performed with a narrator reading the narrative part, while the actors play the characters. The narrator synchronizes with the movements and breaths of the characters on the stage. In medieval Japan, there was a style of performance called jyoruri, where a story was told through a narrator accompanied by the shamisen. Soon it combined with puppets and created bunraku (Japanese puppet theater), and also became a basis for kabuki, in which a dayuu narrates the story while human actors play the part of characters. Thus, Yomishibai is a modern version of the jyoruri theater. Without adapting the words of the novel into a drama play, we perform the entire novel as it is—adding live music and dance performances to enrich the world of the work.
