The story of Siladen Resort & Spa starts when the Marianelli family fell in love with Siladen at the beginning of the millennium. Originally intended as a retirement property for the older generation, the Marianelli’s soon saw the potential of the island to become an exclusive resort and spa managed by sons, Marco and Daniele.
In 2015, a new era started in Siladen Resort & Spa. Ana and Miguel Riberio, and Ray Rorimpandey, owner of the famous Lembeh Resort, joined the management team.
Ana and Miguel Ribeiro started working in North Sulawesi in 2013, at the famous Lembeh Straits and immediately fell in love with the region. After visiting Siladen they couldn’t resist Daniele’s offer to join the team. At the beginning of 2015 they became Siladen Resort & Spa’s new managers.
Ray Rorimpandey, a North Sulawesi native from Tondano, also joined the team, investing in the incredible Bunaken National Park with its abundant clear waters.

Siladen Resort & Spa is an exclusive boutique dive resort located on Pulau Siladen, a lush tropical island in the heart of the Bunaken National Marine Park, a protected ocean area known worldwide for the richness of its waters and epicentre of global marine biodiversity. Since 2003 the resort offers international guests the most attractive exquisite and secluded comfort in Sulawesi.
With a 600m long white sandy beach and a fringing reef with a stunning range from turquoise to deepest blue coloured seas, guests can enjoy breathtaking sunsets year round overlooking Manado Tua volcano, whilst feeling exquisitely pampered and secluded in our beautiful, tranquil, tropical paradise, dedicated to divers and nature enthusiasts alike.
The Restaurant
Savour gourmet fusion cuisine, prepared by our team of highly skilled international chefs. With influences from European, Mediterranean and Asian cuisines, we aim to cater for any palate, including Vegetarian and Vegan, with a choice of freshly prepared, delicious meals.
Built in a traditional way using local products, our covered restaurant has views over the beach and pool. With a central serving station, our varied and extensive buffet breakfast is held here.
During dry season, BBQ’s on the beach are a regular feature. For those special occasions, we are also able to arrange private beach dinners on request.
The Tree House
The tree house is a beautiful open lounge area on the beach, built high amongst the trees. As well as being a perfect place to relax whilst enjoying the view, we offer free weekly Yoga classes and marine life presentations in the tree house.
Our tree house is built by the traditional wooden house builders of Woloan. North Sulawesi is famous for its unique architecture style, and the elevated wooden houses built here are shipped throughout Indonesia and the world. Guests actually visit Woloan village, where these houses are built, whilst on our Minahasan excursion — a surreal show village where you can walk around and go in any of the houses you see.
The Pool
Revel in our stunning, freeform saltwater outdoor pool, located at the heart of the resort, close to the Restaurant, Reception and Lounge Bar. Surrounded by beautiful landscaping and overlooking the beach, guests can relax with their favourite novel on a comfortable sun bed with umbrella, and a complementary hot or cold drink and snack, have a cooling swim, or enjoy a cold local beer whilst sunbathing. Beach towels are available for complimentary use by Resort guests.
The Lounge & Beach Bar
Enjoy a delicious and restorative drink at our atmospheric Lounge Bar, only a few steps from the beach, in our Restaurant or whilst lounging on the beach. Serving a delicious selection of cocktails, imported wines and champagnes, beers and soft drinks, our knowledgable Bar Staff are delighted to make your favourite beverage and bar snacks.
During the day, tea, coffee and an assortment of cookies and pastries are available freely to guests, whilst they are able to enjoy a large selection of books and games.
