Galang Ijo Expedition is an official Trekking Organizer to mount Rinjani. Based in Senaru village in North Lombok. We work with villagers as local porters and guide since 2005 and has been grow up with thousand people as our valuable guests from many country in Asia, Europe, Australia and America.
GALANG in english mean WIDE and IJO mean GREEN. Our vision is we wish the nature will keep green where ever you go. That's why we encourage our guest to take a part to our green program: each guest will plant one tree during the trek for environmental sustainable in Rinjani National Park.
We also give our porters and guides additional money as incentive each time they bring back rubbish from the mountain. This is the part of our responsible to the mother nature in Rinjani to keep the environment clean and lovely.
We realize that our porters and guide has a limited chance to get better education in the past. They have no much choose to earn money for their family caused by their limited education level. That's why then we make a children library in our office in Senaru to give our porters and guide kids access to increase their reading interest. If they love reading book, we sure they will love to learning more and more to improve their knowledge and their future as well. We are open to get your donation with a book to enrich our children library book collection.
