What is CRAVE?
CRAVE, is the name of an event organizer consisting of people who came from various backgrounds, and also from different expertise such as disc jockey, design and visual com- munications, photography, as well as some other occupations.
Some of us were in different event organizers before, performing in vari- ous shows and events, and creative designs. Originating from different experiences and backgrounds, we gathered, discussed and came to a conclusion that the essence of an event is the people.
People, being our main influence of the event organizer; influences the derivation of the logo design. In social parties, people would often meet new people, and start to know more about each other.
Identical to connecting the dots, we started the design with simple dots and lines. Difference in sizes of dots may refer to the different characters in people.
We then introduced different suit- able shades of color such as red and dark grey to add variation to the logo design; emphasizing variations in different characters. And by simply connecting the dots, we arrived to the logo of CRAVE.
The Vision and Mission of CRAVE
People are the most important factor in our event organizer. The power in their preferences and wants alters how we perform to meet their standards.
Our vision started by a saying “People would already know what they don’t like, but they are yet to find out about what they like”-Lily Liu, we concluded that our vision is to not only to meet the standards, but also to set better stand- ards. To do so, we try to understand the people; we position ourselves as the people, putting ourselves in their shoes, developing new ideas to deliver the per- formance that is to be enjoyed, remem- bered, and craved for.
We experienced the metropolitan social life, we went to different social events, we had a good time and frequently came home knowing our world just got smaller by meeting new people. Knowing their back- grounds, linking each one of them, and connecting the dots as it reflects to our logo.
Therefore we decided that our mis- sion is to provide the great external ambience where all the people may connect their dots whilst enjoying themselves in a combination of great soiree and great music.
