Andis art Gallery was established in 1990, located at Jl. Tanah Abang IV/14, Central Jakarta.
Andis art Gallery presents fine art, modern art, contemporary art and many more. Andis Art Gallery is aimed to be a place of inspiration, through our collection, programs and exhibitions.

In one year Andis Art Gallery has held 5 to 6 paintings exhibitions, solo as well as group. Painting is not the sole focus of Andis Art Gallery attention, as it also had organized the exhibitions sculptures and multi media

Andis Gallery is one of the founders of ART GALLERIES ASSOCIATE OF INDONESIA (AGSI).
In 2010 Andis Gallery joined with 11 members of AGSI Galleries, named JAKARTA ART DISTRICT which is situated in East Mall Grand Indonesia , one of exclusive and the biggest malls in Indonesia, located in Central Jakarta

Andis Art Gallery and Its Role in Indonesian Visual Art
Reaching the age of Twentieth, Andis Art Gallery has sucessfully brought synergy between the needs of the market and the discourse. This art gallery, having held numerous discourse exhibitions, becomes one of the most important entities promoting Indonesian visual art growth.

It is perceived that private galleries in Indonesia are more market-oriented (or pays more attention to the needs of the market). This is certainly not applicable to Andis Art Gallery. We must take into account the fact that the exhibitions organized by Andis Art Gallery prove that this Art Gallery is concerned with discourse issue.

Being one of the Contemporary Visual Art Pioneers only within a month since it was founded, Andis Art Gallery presented quite a phenomenal exhibition called "Super Realis". The genre of realistic painting has come to the surface today, but Andis Art Gallery has propagated this since years ago, since 1993 to be exact. Curated by Sudarmaji, the exhibition was definitely the first super realistic exhibition in Indonesia. "This exhibition," as Sudarmaji wrote in the catalog, "has deliberately collected and stimulated the birth of super realistic rendering. We hope that this can be developed further." As we can see now, realistic painting has grown rapidly in Indonesia.

Still in the same year, Andis Art Gallery held "In Between (Loncat Pagar)" art exhibition. Mike Susanto, the curator, wrote that the exhibition was an analysis into the effects of the phenomena of artists' media experiment.

In 1995 Andis Art Gallery cooperated with curator Jim Supangkat in organizing the "3 Indonesian Contemporary Artists" art exhibition. Installation works were still a contradictory issue then, yet Andis Art Gallery boldly exhibited them.

A year after the exhibition that incorporated the term 'contemporary', Andis Art Gallery presented a contemporary tapestry art exhibition. The curator, Mamannoor, selected eight tapestry artitsts from Bandung. It is interesting to note that Andis Art Gallery again presented the sidetracks of the mainstream.

In 2009 Andis Art Gallery held "Indonesia Contemporary Drawing" exhibition involving 52 artists. Held in Indonesian National Gallery and curated by Asmujo J. Irianto and Hardiman, it was responded positively by art lovers and observers. In the same year, Andis Art Gallery invited 53 Indonesian contemporary women sculptors for "My Body" exhibition. Curated by Hardiman, the exhibition focused on the issues of woman’s body as seen by women artists. Again, the exhibition was warmly welcomed.

In 2010 Andis Art Gallery held two significant exhibitions in art sphere, "Comical Brothers" curated by Bambang Toko and "Monoprint" curated by M. Dwi Marianto. These exhibitions would expand art genre in Indonesia. The new reality in creative art world that young artists deal with is the most important fact in visual art genealogy in the last few years. In short, Andis Art Gallery is always there to accomodate the world of creative visual art as well as the theoretical statements that comes with it.

Andis Gallery also actively participates in Art Fairs such as C-Art Show, Bazaar Art Jakarta.
