Our philosophy is to provide an honest and safe surfing environment by presenting realistic expectations on day-to-day surfing conditions or planned surf trips and try our best to be spontaneous- reacting to surf reports to create impulsive events.

Surf Guiding in Bali

Dawn patrol Bali believes that progression is super satisfying! Choose a surf guiding lesson or tour to discover some of the legendary surf breaks in Bali while advancing your surfing ability from turning, accelerating and advance techniques. We cater for all levels from advanced thrill seekers to beginner-intermediates, ensuring our experienced and talented guides apply personalized instructing methods to encourage you in a way that best suits your learning style. They strive to help you achieve your goals through constructive advice, and choosing the right location that will respectfully challenge and build your confidence. Prices start from IDR400,000.


G-Land Surf Trips:
Situated on Grajagan Bay within the Alas Purwo National Park, East Java and known as a very long, world-class, barreling left hand reef/point break, G-land has long been considered one of the world's best left hand waves. ‘Plengkung’ being the main point break is rarely less than 3 feet and amongst seven sections that make up the G-Land break. It is one of the most consistently rideable waves in the world in season, with offshore trade-winds and plentiful swells between the months of April to September.

Intermediate Trip:
Tailored for adventurous intermediate surfers who are in search of surfing somewhere new away from the busy Bali surf spots. Our authentic 3 or 6 full day surfing trip to East Java- Grajagan, Red island and G-land (when conditions are intermediate), offers a mix of left and right hand beach breaks accessible from the beach or a short drive. We arrive early for a Dawn Patrol start and can surf at your own leisure and with our guides. We go by boat to the G-land Line up if conditions are right. The trip includes 2 enthusiastic guides who strive to help advance your surfing level, transport: pickup + drop off in Bali, accommodation (2 or 4 nights), all food and beverages (excl beer), BBQ and paradise scenery. Advance Surf Trip
Want adventure and to surf in world famous waves? book our 3 or 6 full day surfing trip to G-land, East Java. With a Dawn patrol start we surf in beach break left and rights at Grajagan bay – our base camp For the next 2 or 4 days we head by local boat to the G-land line-up and enjoy surfing for around 5 hours a day resting on the boat at you leisure. Prices start from 3.5 million including 2 invaluably knowledgeable guides, transportation: pick up + drop off in Bali, boat trips, accommodation (2 or 4 nights), all food and beverages (excl beer), BBQ, Javanese culture, and epic waves as we aim to time our trip with anticipated swells.

Medewi, Bali Surf Trip
A majestic and remote village offering a glimpse into what untouched Bali is.
Famous for its long left hand wave that rolls all year round, it has become a little gem and hotspot for adventurous surfers.

Offering two Incredible Beach break rights and the infamous and consistent left point, Medewi is a treasure to visit and surf. We stay amongst the rice fields with views of the ocean and drive or leisurely walk down to the volcanic black sand beach in minutes where you can dawn patrol to choose your favorite spot. Hardly touched with charming warungs and little else, Medewi is paradise with iconic palm tree beaches and mountainous or sunset backdrops! Some guests surf left and others right just 100m away around the northern point or 250 m south and with an inviting and fun atmosphere, this trip has never disappointed and is perfect for surf photography which we also can provide. We offer 3 or 6 full day surfing trips for Intermediate and Advance surfers tailoring each trip to wave conditions. Prices range from $150- $200 and include 2 invaluably knowledgeable guides, accommodation (2 or 4 nights), BBQ, transport to + from Bali’s South peninsular, good vibes and memories of a lifetime!
