Skyport is a Bermudian special purpose company responsible for L.F. Wade International Airport’s operations, maintenance and commercial functions. Skyport will also manage the delivery of the redevelopment project over a 30-year concession term.
Skyport is a Bermudian special purpose company responsible for L.F. Wade International Airport’s operations, maintenance and commercial functions. These responsibilities have been taken on from the Department of Airport Operations (DAO) in 16 March 2017.
Skyport will also manage the delivery of the redevelopment project over a 30-year concession term. and will oversee the construction of a new terminal over the next 40 months. The new airport terminal is targeted for completion in 2020.
Skyport will:
* Modernise Bermuda’s airport infrastructure for staff and travellers
* Create a safer, more comfortable and pleasant passenger experience
* Improve retail and dining options at the airport
* Provide greater accessibility for physically challenged travellers
* Negotiate increased airlift and new airline routes to Bermuda
* Provide jobs for Bermudians now and over the long-term
Skyport is almost entirely staffed by Bermudians. Most of our employees have joined us from the DAO.
Skyport is overseen by the Bermuda Airport Authority, a regulating body established by the Government of Bermuda.
