Located in the capital city of Burundi,Bujumbura, Confucius Institute of Burundi University was formally established in 2012, and its cooperative university of China is Bohai University. The current Chinese Director is Liu Yifeng, and the foreign Dean is NZEYIMANA Joseph. There are 16 faculty and staff in the Confucius Institute. Among them, there are 2 full-time teachers and 12 volunteer teachers. Confucius Institute has its own office space, which is about 300 square meters, and the library has about 3780 books. Four college teaching centers and seven middle school teaching centers have been set up. Five types of Chinese language courses can be learned. In April, 2015, a total of 1006 students registered.
